Miami Restaurant Spotlight: Tinta y Cafe
July 16, 2015Tinta y Café is owned and operated by the Santamarina family. They went into this adventure with having no experience in the restaurant industry. They took a leap of faith, and opened the business in hopes they would make it a success.
That leap of faith has paid off. Tinta y Café has been established for 5 years, and continues to grow each day as one of Miami’s most exciting dining options.
The Menu
They serve up amazing Cuban cuisine, including cadecito, croquetas, and pastelitos. The atmosphere of Tinta y Café is warm and inviting. The decor and service will make you feel right at home. They have a variety of sandwiches and salads, which are highly anticipated by those who frequently stop in at Tinta y Café.
They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will see a busy crowd during the morning, and again at lunch. Those who work 9 to 5 in the Brickell area, stop in to fill up on a wholesome breakfast before conquering the day.
You will find daily specials, which includes a new soup offering each day. These specials have included Bistec en Cazuela, which is beef that is sautéed in a tomato sauce, bell peppers and onions. You have two options when it comes to daily specials. You can choose a small or regular sized portion.
Try the Tinta y Café sandwich, which is prosciutto and is piled high with pulled pork and caramelized onions. This sandwich is served on a baguette slice. They also have a Tapas Bar, which comes highly recommended as well.

Location and Hours
You will find this eatery at 276 SW 8th Street in Miami, Florida. This is just off the Calle Ocho intersection, and it is before you reach Little Havana and Brickell Avenue. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 7:am to 7pm.
A perfect place for the whole family, and they offer delivery and catering. If the weather is nice, you have the option to dine outside.
